Official Rules of the VIDABAY SNAP "Snap It & Show It" Photography Challenge

I. Organizer and Eligibility
  1. This contest (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest") is organized by VidaBay (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us" or "our"), the operator of vidabay.net and the developer of the VidaBay Snap product.
  2. The Contest is open to legal residents of all countries/regions where participation is permitted under applicable local laws, and participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of submission. Employees, contractors of VidaBay and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.
  3. Participants must own or have access to a VidaBay Snap E Ink Magnetic Fridge Magnet, as well as a smartphone with photo capture and transmission functions.
  4. No purchase is required to browse Contest content; however, submission of a valid entry requires the use of a VidaBay Snap E Ink Magnetic Fridge Magnet.

II. Contest Theme

Participants shall take an original high-quality photo with a smartphone (e.g. iPhone), transmit the photo to the VidaBay Snap E Ink Magnetic Fridge Magnet, and then capture an image of the device displaying the photo placed in a real-life scenario (such as a fridge, desk, handbag, shelf, etc.) to demonstrate the actual in-use effect of the product.

III. How to Enter

  1. Take an original photo using your smartphone camera.
  2. Wirelessly transmit the photo to the VidaBay Snap E Ink Magnetic Fridge Magnet via NFC (near-field communication).
  3. Place the E Ink Magnetic Fridge Magnet in a daily use location — a fridge, desk, handbag or shelf — and take a clear photo of the fridge magnet displaying the picture.
  4. Post your entry to the official VidaBay Snap Reddit community, include the hashtag #VidaBaySnapChallenge, and add a one-sentence introduction to your work.
  5. Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 entries during the Contest period.
  6. By submitting an entry, the participant confirms that the photo is their original work and that they hold the right to share and distribute it.

IV. Judging Criteria

The VidaBay team will score entries based on the following dimensions:
  • Visual Quality (40%): composition, lighting and clarity of the original photo
  • Creativity (30%): originality of the scenario, theme and presentation form
  • Presentation Effect (20%): display quality of the photo on the device, and compatibility with the selected scenario
  • Community Engagement (10%): number of upvotes and comments received by the Reddit post during the Contest period

Prizes will be issued in the form of exclusive store credit for vidabay.net, redeemable only for purchases on the official vidabay.net website. Store credit will be distributed within 14 business days after the winner’s information is verified. All prizes are non-transferable, non-resellable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

VI. Winner Selection and Notification

  1. The list of winners will be selected by the VidaBay judging panel in accordance with the judging criteria set out in Article IV. Results will be announced simultaneously on VidaBay’s official Reddit community, Instagram and Facebook within 7 days after the Contest closes.
  2. The organizer will notify winners via Reddit direct message and/or the email address linked to the participant’s VidaBay account. Winners must reply to confirm prize acceptance within 5 business days. Failure to confirm within the time limit will be deemed automatic forfeiture of the prize, and the organizer will select an alternate participant.
  3. VidaBay reserves the right to verify the authenticity of all entries, including requesting participants to provide original photo capture credentials. Prizes will be officially awarded only upon successful verification.

VII. Usage Rights of Entries

  1. By participating in the Contest, participants grant VidaBay a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce and share the entries (with attribution to the participant’s name) across VidaBay’s marketing channels, including websites, social media and advertising campaigns, for brand promotion purposes.
  2. Participants retain full ownership of their original photos.

VIII. Entry Rules and Disqualification

  1. Entries containing offensive, hateful, pornographic, explicit or otherwise inappropriate content will be immediately disqualified.
  2. Entries must not contain copyrighted material, third-party brand logos, or recognizable images of minors without parental consent.
  3. Any act of manipulating votes, engagement data or judging results (e.g. using fake accounts, mass vote rigging) will result in immediate disqualification upon discovery.
  4. VidaBay reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any non-compliant entry or participant.

IX. General Terms

  1. In the event of fraud, technical failure or other force majeure factors affecting the fairness of the Contest, VidaBay reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest and its rules at any time.
  2. VidaBay shall not be liable for any lost, delayed, incomplete or incorrectly transmitted entries.
  3. This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with platforms including Reddit, Meta, Google, X Corp, etc.
  4. These rules shall be governed by the applicable local laws of the jurisdiction where the organizer operates.
