Good Display Launches 2.13-inch Passive NFC E-Paper Display Tag

On July 23, 2025, Good Display released the GDN0213BW 2.13-inch passive NFC e-paper display tag. This product features a battery-free design, relying on smartphone NFC power supply for content updates, and is mainly targeted at display needs in retail, office and other scenarios.
Technical Principle and Operation Method
GDN0213BW is based on e-paper bistable technology, meaning the screen only consumes power when refreshing images and consumes no power in static display state. The product has no built-in battery and obtains all required power through NFC radio frequency energy harvesting technology.
When in use, the user brings an NFC-enabled Android smartphone close to the tag. The phone's NFC module simultaneously provides energy and data to drive the screen to complete the refresh. After the refresh is finished, the image can remain displayed without continuous power supply.

This e-paper display tag is equipped with an ABS shell, and its appearance can be customized according to customer needs. The product supports wireless content updates through a dedicated Android application.

Usage Instructions
Users can download the dedicated application by scanning the official QR code. When transmitting data, it is recommended to keep the phone and the tag within a distance of 1-2 cm and keep them stationary.
The official reminds that metal surfaces may block or weaken NFC signals, so direct use of the device on metal surfaces should be avoided. At the same time, it is recommended to remove the phone's metal case or thick protective film, and stay away from strong electromagnetic sources such as chargers and Bluetooth devices to improve connection stability.

Good Display provides an ABS rail mounting system for this product, which supports tool-free installation and is suitable for large-scale deployment in the retail industry. The set includes mounting strips and a removal tool.
In addition to the 2.13-inch black and white version, this series also offers various sizes such as 1.54-inch, 2.9-inch and 4.2-inch, with options of black and white, 3-color or 4-color versions. It can be used in scenarios such as smart shelf labels, product identification, and ID badges.
