E Ink to Showcase E-Paper Smart Surface Applications at COMPUTEX 2026 with 40 Ecosystem Partners
On May 8, 2026, E Ink Holdings, the global leader in e-paper technology, announced that it will participate in the Taipei International Computer Show (COMPUTEX 2026) from June 2 to 5. At Booth #D0101 in Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, it will join hands with 40 upstream and downstream e-paper ecosystem partners to create an e-paper industry zone covering a total area of 1,170 square meters. This exhibition will focus on color e-paper and smart surface applications, fully presenting the innovative implementation results of e-paper technology in multiple fields.
Core Exhibition Content
This e-paper industry zone revolves around three major application themes: First, large-size color e-paper display billboards, covering indoor and outdoor retail store advertisements, digital out-of-home (DOOH) billboards, and public information sign applications. Second, color-changing e-paper smart surfaces, demonstrating the innovative potential of e-paper in automobiles, advertising media, and personalized consumer products. Third, lifestyle aesthetics and smart home applications, including e-paper digital paintings, photo frames, and various personalized display products.
Johnson Lee, Chairman of E Ink Holdings, stated that unlike general display technologies, e-paper features ultra-low power consumption, excellent visibility, and easy integration into different surfaces. It is gradually evolving from a display interface to a smart surface, enabling objects to demonstrate interactive and personalized value through changes in color, patterns, and information.
Full Industrial Chain Ecosystem Showcase
The zone will fully present the complete industrial chain layout of e-paper devices, from key materials, TFT backplanes, e-paper modules, IC design, front light technology, solar power supply, to electronic shelf labels, e-paper billboards, and system integration solutions. The 40 co-exhibiting ecosystem partners include industry enterprises such as BOE, DKE, MediaTek, Qualcomm, and TCL CSOT, providing one-stop procurement options for global buyers.
Concurrent Industry Forum
The 2nd "E-Paper Industry Ecosystem Development Forum" will be held on June 3 on the 2nd floor of Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. The forum invites heavyweight industry experts to exchange views on topics including the application trend of digital out-of-home (DOOH) billboards, the development of Retail Media Networks (RMN), and experience sharing from product design to mass production of color-changing e-paper.
Industry Background and Significance
COMPUTEX 2026 centers on "AI Together", focusing on artificial intelligence computing and energy efficiency challenges. Market research indicates that the global new power demand related to AI will reach approximately 469 TWh by 2030, equivalent to Germany's annual electricity consumption. With its bistable display characteristic, e-paper only consumes power when updating the screen, which can effectively reduce the energy burden of long-term information display and become an important solution to promote sustainable digital infrastructure in the AI era.
